About

A.G. Roof Coatings President Mark Maguire has always been a local neighbor. Only the college years found him outside of Nebraska, where he earned a degree in Prosthetics from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.

Specializing in design, fabrication, and proper fitting of prosthetic devices, Mark established the first privately owned outpatient Limb Loss Rehab Center in the nation, integrating prosthetics with physical therapy to improve patient outcomes.

Several years later, a friend introduced Mark to commercial roofing. Surprised to discover that traditional commercial roofs have far too many leak points, Mark was intrigued that a liquid-applied coating system could create a fully sealed roof surface, eliminating all leak points. Being science-minded, innovative, and focused on practical solutions, this straightforward approach for building owners only made good sense.

Mark’s technical background designing and fabricating prosthetic devices has inspired him to develop specialized tools for the roof coating industry.  He currently has products in development that are showing to be transformative and could change the future market.

A.G. Roof Coatings utilizes three pieces of proprietary equipment in several of our roof coating processes. The cornerstone being roof surface cleanliness before coating application.

The longevity of any roof coating depends significantly on how clean the roof’s surface is prior to application, so we have developed specialized equipment that ensures A Grade cleaning. This is resulting in roofs up to 75% cleaner than those cleaned by traditional methods.

In addition, we employ a unique method for addressing seam issues, a common source of leaks. Our proprietary seam sealing process reduces human error, delivering consistent and superior results. We also use a specialized caulking tip for metal roof fasteners that creates a lower caulk profile over the fastener head, while increasing the surface area covered. This confirms the caulk adequately covers the fastener head and surrounding area for long-term adhesion and leak prevention.

After years of numerous hobbies, all related to wheels, like dirt bikes, ATV’s, snowmobiles and so much more, Mark is now a self-described homebody when not working. His new favorite hobby is developing more efficient and results driven solutions for a better roof coating. “Work with purpose has always been the most rewarding and enjoyable thing to me”.

When not on a roof, you will find Mark together with his wife Tami, and spending time with their adult daughters Melanie and Jacey, along with the two family dogs Lanie and Turbo.
